Idaho Lottery Fumbles Powerball

January 5th, 2009 No comments

powerball-lotteryAs new rules and game features in the Powerball Lottery are being implemented this week, one state is already having upgrade issues.  Idaho Lottery Officials have announced that a number of error tickets were printed after they performed the necessary upgrades on their own system:

“During the upgrade of Idaho’s Powerball game, operator error resulted in a small number of Powerball tickets being printed in error during a short period of time,” said Zeke Chemodurow, Idaho General Manager for Intralot, Inc., the Idaho Lottery’s lotto-systems provider. “The ticket information and the locations where they were printed at have been identified and that information has been provided to the lottery.”

Now the question is, did any other states make errors as a result of the upgrade?
